Demonstrating Quality
At Arizona’s public universities, we are defining how quality is delivered in our degrees.
Last year, for the first time, the Arizona Board of Regents embedded quality markers in its updated strategic plan. This is important for our students who expect the highest level of quality for their investment in their education.
This year, the board and university presidents embarked on an ambitious plan to measure and define how quality is delivered. This has begun in earnest with a comprehensive review of the general education curriculum to assess how academic courses and programs ensure students develop the fundamental skills and broad base of knowledge that all college graduates must have, and how this enables them to think critically and to respond more fully and effectively to an increasingly complex world.
